Privacy Policy

Applies to all mobile games published by Morass Games on Google Play and the Apple App Store, and to the Steam edition of Scripts of Power. Last updated 2026-11-02.

Summary

Our mobile games are free. Our current mobile releases use advertising; the earlier Wendwake edition described below has no advertising. The Steam edition of Scripts of Power contains no advertising SDK and does not show ads. We do not ask for an account, we do not ask for your email or contacts, and we do not sell your data. Games with online leaderboards send the information described below to our score service. Advertising providers handle data as described in the advertising section.

Wendwake mobile edition

Versions through 0.19.19 work offline and have no advertising, analytics, purchases or account service. Those versions do not collect or transmit personal data, and the advertising section does not apply to them. Starting with version 0.19.20, the native mobile edition includes Google AdMob and UMP for a small banner on the title and expedition-selection screens. No ad appears during an expedition. The advertising section below applies to these newer native versions. Wendwake has no online leaderboard or account service; progress and settings remain on your device. The browser edition contains no advertising SDK.

Data the app itself handles

• Game progress and settings are stored on your device only. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
• Crash reports: if the app crashes, Google Play may send an anonymised crash report to us through the Play Console. It contains device model, Android version and the stack trace, not your identity.

Online leaderboards

Games with online leaderboards, including Scripts of Power, send a random installation identifier, your chosen public nickname, results and gameplay replays to scores.morassgames.com, hosted by Cloudflare. Replays let the server verify scores. A weekly salted hash of the network address helps prevent abuse; we do not store the address itself. A supported device may also send integrity verification information. There is no account, email or password.

Use a nickname you are happy to display publicly, or choose Anonymous. The service keeps a player's best qualifying results and replays; installations inactive for 12 months are deleted. In the game's Settings, Delete my scores removes submissions from that device without deleting local progress. You can also request deletion through the developer contact below; do not post private identifiers in the public issue tracker. Leaderboards are optional network functionality: core play remains available offline and pending submissions may retry when connected.

The Online leaderboards section also applies to the Steam edition of Scripts of Power. The Steam edition stores progress and settings on your device and uses the same optional score and replay service described above. It contains no advertising SDK and does not show ads.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Ads are served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To show and measure ads the AdMob SDK may process: a device advertising identifier when available and permitted, IP address, device type and OS version, coarse location derived from IP, and ad interactions (views, clicks, rewarded-video completions). How Google uses this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Your choices. On first launch, users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent dialog (Google User Messaging Platform). Your choices determine whether ads can be requested. Refusal does not restrict gameplay; ads may be absent when the required permission is unavailable. You can change the choice at any time from the game's settings screen ("Privacy options"). On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings → Google → Ads.

Rewarded ads are shown only when you tap a button that says an ad will play in exchange for an in-game reward. Watching one is never required to play.

Children

Our mobile games are intended for players aged 13 and over and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Data retention and your rights

Leaderboard information is used to provide and protect the public rankings, on the basis of legitimate interests. The retention and deletion controls are described above. For data processed by Google, exercise your rights (access, deletion, objection) through the Google links above. Under the GDPR you may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

Changes

If we add a feature that changes what data is processed, we update this page and the date above before the update ships.
