A dark lamplit sorting table holding a grid of carved wardstones: several turned face up and ringed in gold, two just turned in the middle of a move, the rest face down and marked with a single incised letter

HOW TO PLAY

Pair every mark on the table.

  1. Click, tap or arrow to a mark and turn it, then turn another.
  2. The same ward and the pair seals and stays face up, so the map in your head is never taken away.
  3. Different, and they stay up until you turn your next mark — there is no flip-back timer to sit through, and nothing on this table ever waits for you.

Six trays, from twelve marks to seventy-two. No score and no way to lose: two numbers, moves and time, and on both of them lower is better. Each tray keeps a public board of ten for each, and nothing sends a number — a finished run is sent as its replay and played again on the server. Afterwards the game replays your own deal against a reader who never forgets, and tells you what it cost them.
