A raven (Corvus corax) skull in lateral profile as a flat dangle earring: a big domed braincase pierced by an Ø8 orbit, the heavy decurved corvid culmen with an open nare, and a mandible fused only at the articulation so an open jaw slot runs the length of the beak — that slot is what makes it read as a skull rather than a bird head.
